Pierre is President and Director General of the Quebec Cannabis and Hemp Industry Association (AQIC), where he leads the organization’s work on regulatory and operational issues facing licensed cannabis producers in Quebec. In this role, he serves as a trusted bridge between industry, government, and key stakeholders.
He also serves as President of the International Federation of Cannabis and Hemp Industry Associations. In this capacity, he has supported several jurisdictions in their reflections on the evolution of public policies governing hemp and cannabis, while helping to highlight Canadian policy approaches in international discussions.
With more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, and senior strategic advisor, Pierre brings a unique perspective shaped by both public service and business leadership. Before joining AQIC, he served as Chief of Staff in the Government of Quebec, where he contributed to the development of Quebec’s first cannabis legislation.
In addition to his public policy experience, Pierre has founded and led companies in the forestry, lighting, and artificial intelligence sectors. His ability to connect policy, innovation, and industry realities has made him a respected voice on the opportunities and challenges facing emerging industries in Canada and abroad.
